We clarify the role, advertise it and screen every application (the advert closes at 150), then recommend up to four candidates for you to interview. You interview, complete the checks and make the hiring decision. It's a fixed fee, not a percentage of salary.

What will I receive?

• Your Blueprint Position Description and Hire Blueprint tools (advert, screening questions, interview guide, reference questions)
• Agreed standard advertising: one SEEK listing (or Trade Me where it suits the role), open for 14 days as standard, or longer if you prefer or the market needs it
• Every application acknowledged and screened against your role requirements and job details
• Up to six completed recorded-answer screenings, supporting up to four recommendations
• A recommendation report on each recommended candidate: the evidence for the recommendation, gaps or matters still unconfirmed, and what to explore at interview. It keeps what the candidate told us separate from our assessment.
• A list of every applicant marked Shortlist / Maybe / Not progressing, with a one-line reason
• Candidate messages, including not-progressing messages in wording you approve
• Interview booking with the candidates you choose, and progress updates throughout

You get a short list of people worth interviewing, with clear reasons for each recommendation, without managing the advert and applications yourself.

What do you do, and what do I do?

1. Clarify the role. We agree your Blueprint Position Description and job details with you.
2. Prepare. We write the advert, screening questions and interview guide.
3. Advertise. Applications are open for 14 days as standard, or longer if you prefer or the market needs it.
4. Screen. We screen every application within 3 working days of the advert closing.
5. Recorded answers. Selected candidates have 72 hours to record spoken answers to a few set questions.
6. Recommend. You receive the report and applicant list within 2 working days after the 72-hour recording window closes.
7. Interview and decide. We book the interviews. You interview, check references, complete any pre-employment checks and decide.

From the advert going live to recommendations takes about 3.5 weeks.

How the recorded answers work: candidates answer by voice, with a set time for each question, on a phone or computer. There's no camera. Every candidate gets spoken and written instructions. Answers are written up as transcripts and the audio is deleted straight away. We assess the written transcripts against your role requirements. You receive our report, not recordings or transcripts. Adjustments are available on request for disability or accessibility needs. This helps reduce bias based on how people look, but no screening process is free of bias.

What does it cost, and how long does it take?

NZD $3,495 + GST, including Role Blueprint, Hire Blueprint and agreed standard advertising. About 3.5 weeks from the advert going live to recommendations.

Scope

• Applications: the advert closes when it reaches 150 applications. We screen every one. There's no charge per application.
• Extra screenings or interviews: NZD $195 + GST for each extra completed recorded-answer screening, or each extra candidate whose interviews we manage, beyond the included allowance (for example if you want more interviews or are filling more than one position).
• Premium advertising is quoted separately.
• One rerun: if our first shortlist has no candidates who meet the agreed requirements for interview, we run the advert once more at no extra cost (it closes at 100 applications), screen every new application (with up to four more recorded-answer screenings) and update your shortlist. The role and job offer must stay the same. We can't promise suitable people will apply.
• No replacement guarantee. We screen and recommend; you choose who to hire, and we can't guarantee how a person will perform.
